Our vision for the new "South/Timpanogos School District" schools

We envision a future where every student in our new "South School District" receives a high-quality education, preparing them for success in continuing education, career, and community. Madeline Wyatt is committed to making this vision a reality through dedicated service and a heart for our schools.

Ideal school environment

The ideal school environment in our new school district would consist of walkable neighborhood schools with moderate classroom sizes for more personalized instruction. We aim for more access to specialized programs (like DLI, ALL, WIN, etc.) and accessible resources for teachers and students, fostering a nurturing and effective learning atmosphere.

Addressing the challenges

The biggest challenges facing our schools today are competitive wages for teachers and administrators, large class sizes, and decreasing enrollment in public schools. As a school board member, Madeline Wyatt will advocate for careful review of current school district practices and make adjustments to promote longevity of enrollment, continuing the legacy of learning in our area.

Areas for improvement

Our schools need smaller class sizes for more direct instruction and less teacher burn out. Madeline Wyatt believes that adjusting school boundaries and decreasing the classroom threshold would be ideal to achieve this, ensuring every student receives the attention they deserve.
